Cottages on Cochran
In partnership with Fulton County and support from an American Rescue Plan Grant, MicroLife is bringing 9 affordable cottages for sale in Union City, GA.
As with all of our housing developments, the Union City Cottages are designed to foster community through the built environment. The site, facilitated by the Atlanta Land Bank, features common green spaces that can be enjoyed by the residents.
MicroLife plans to break ground by early 2026.
Site Plan
Featuring 9 cottages on 1 acre (of a 2 acre site), the Cottages on Cochran in Union City will be a mix of 2 and 3-bedroom units on fee simple lots which will all be sold at prices affordable to those making 60-80% Area Median Income (AMI).
The site will feature a shared parking lot, central greenspace and resident amenities all connected by walking paths.

When will the Cottages be available for sale?
A plan for the sales of the cottages for income qualified buyers is being assembled now in partnership with Fulton County. Please join our newsletter list (available below) to receive updates on the process. The current schedule estimates the cottages will be complete in early 2027.
What size and configuration are the Cottages?
The early concept features 2 cottages that are 2 bed/1bath around 800 sqft, 6 cottages that are 2 bed/2.5 bath around 1100 sqft, and one 3 bed/2 bath that is 1200 sqft. Final plans are subject to some alteration as we work with our architect and design team.
What is the plan for the rest of the site?
MicroLife hopes that the success of the 9 cottages on the western side of the 2 acre parcel will help us obtain subsidy capital to develop 9 additional cottages on the eastern portion. Stay tuned for more information!
