What can a walk down one street teach us about the future of housing? Quite a lot.

Join MicroLife Institute, DeKalb County Super District 6, and the Aging in Placers group for the return of the Missing Middle Housing Safari. We’ll explore how smaller homes and a greater variety of housing types can give people more choices at every stage of life, including the choice to age in the communities they love.

We’ll begin at East Lake MARTA Station with a short talk about missing middle housing and what to look for along the way. Then we’ll head to Drexel Avenue for a guided walking tour and conversation about housing, walkability, neighborhood design, and aging in place. You’ll have opportunities to ask questions and share what better housing choices could look like in DeKalb County.

Whether you work in housing, serve your community, or are simply curious about the homes we could build next, come ready to look at a familiar street in a new way.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes. Registered participants will receive final meeting and tour details before the event.
